Twelve clansman and one bagpipe make a rebellion.
Sir Walter Scott.

We are a very active band of over 30 members, consisting of pipers, drummers, and highland dancers based on the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney. New members are always welcome, be they new or experienced players.

Tuition is available for the pipes & drums. Highland dancing is also taught. We are open to anyone of any age with current learners & members ranging in age from 9 to over 60.

The band tartan is the Military Gordon (as worn by the Gordon Highlanders); the rest of the uniform depending on the occasion.

Manly Warringah Pipe Band has been playing for over 60 yrs now (we were founded in 1949), going from strength to strength, fuelled by the enjoyment of playing amongst a friendly, social group of people.

2012 is a particularly exciting year as the band has been selected to participate in the Massed Pipes and Drums at the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo in Scotland for the first time.

Leading the band is Drum Major Barry Nicholas and Pipe Major Nick Roelvink.
